Meet Sandy Thigpen in Huntington Beach, California, USA

Then send her a greeting, or ask a question, below!

One of the challenges I face as a patient advocate is having the (long term care) facility staff understand what our role is when I walk into a facility for the first time, I’m that outsider and I’m coming in with my binder or clipboard and it’s an automatically assumed adversarial position. So working with the staff and forging the relationship, I’m not a threat to them. Our goals are the same. We want the patient to get the very best care and I’m there to facilitate that.

  1. Hi Sandy,

I really enjoyed your video, I am hoping to start practicing/consulting as a Patient Advocate soon.
I live live in CA too, Temecula.

    Take care,
    Roberta
